This policy explains what BetweenAnswers collects, why it is collected, and how the product avoids using assessment data for high-risk decisions.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to operate an assessment session: assessment answers, answer timestamps, deterministic scoring output, report access status, and the published assessment version used for that session. Before showing a private report, we collect the submitted email address, consent status, report-view timestamp, UTM fields, and hidden source fields when they are present.

Why we use it

We use this data to run the assessment, calculate deterministic scores, show the report, prevent draft content from changing completed sessions, diagnose operational issues, and understand basic traffic source quality. We do not use assessment records for clinical, employment, education, eligibility, credit, insurance, or similar high-stakes decisions.

Cookies and local storage

BetweenAnswers uses necessary cookies and similar browser storage to run the site and remember your cookie choice. We currently do not set advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics cookies. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are added later, they must be disabled by default and require a separate affirmative choice.

Legal bases

Assessment processing is necessary to provide the requested self-reflection service. Email capture and report access records are processed based on the consent shown in the report gate. Operational logs and fraud-prevention records may be processed for legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and reliable.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We may use hosting, database, email, monitoring, and workflow processors to operate the product. Those processors should only handle data for the service purposes described here. AI systems may support content preparation in admin or offline workflows, but final user scoring is performed by deterministic code.

Retention and deletion

Session, lead, scoring, and report records are retained while needed to provide the report, maintain auditability of published assessment versions, and operate the product. You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction where applicable by contacting the product operator through the support channel provided with the service.

Security

We use access controls and server-side processing boundaries to avoid exposing internal scoring identifiers to the browser. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so do not submit sensitive medical, employment, financial, or other high-risk information in free-text fields.
